We wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and hope that you take time this busy season, to simply enjoy some peaceful moments…

At the Solstice we move again into days filled with more and more light. It is a great time to enjoy a  greater focus on the spirit of Unconditional Love within each of us, which is, in some traditions, the Christ Spirit…

On behalf of the Network, we would like to thank you for your support and interest.  We hope that we are able to continue to find topics and speakers who will challenge you and bring a greater awareness of the wonders which surround us in this amazing Universe.

We also take this opportunity to thank our wonderful volunteers. They make it possible for us to continue to thrive.  Linda and Denise, and Janice on occasion, are our Hospitality Crew in the Kitchen; David and Cindy help at the door, and David also acts as our Master of Ceremonies and leads the meditation.  We are also thankful for Jim, Michael, Mark and Donna, who often help with set up.  With the assistance of these dear people, the Network continues into our ninth year.

Next Psychic Potluck, Thursday, January 31st, 2012, 6 pm

You’ll have a great Potluck meal — and “Potluck” Psychics at your table for TWO hours!

Bring your favourite dish to share – and join your Network friends at 6 pm, at the big hall at Brechin United Church, which is the big A-Frame church at the top of Brechin hill. (That’s the road that runs directly down to the Departure Bay Ferry from the Old Island Hwy (Terminal Road.)

The “Potluck Psychic” portion of the evening begins after dinner, at 7 pm, when a professional psychic  will be assigned to your table for one hour.  He or she will give mini-readings to you and your tablemates.  At 8 pm “your” psychic will move to another table, and another will move to yours, to deliver your second mini-reading of the night.

During dinner, we are pleased to have Nanaimo’s SHINE entertain us once again with their amazing harmonies — and thanks to Lobelia’s Lair, Leoralea, and the Nanaimo Metaphysical Network, there will be door prizes  all through the evening.

So, to recap:

• 6 pm: You can expect a great potluck dinner with your friends, old and new.  (pricele$$)
• You will have two 5 to ten minute readings (a GREAT $ value)
• You have a chance to win wonderful door prizes.
• You will meet some great new friends.
• You can expect a fun (and somewhat noisy) evening!

We moved this event to a larger location because we have run out of tickets every time. (Psychic Potlucks regularly occur on the fifth Thursdays.) This time, we have more than enough room for everyone…   and Yes, you can just show up.  We won’t have to turn anyone away for lack of room.

Gary Schoonveld, LMP, worked for several years at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach VA, at the Foundation Office. He is an accomplished researcher and student of the Cayce Health Readings.

Thursday, September 6th, 2012: “EDGAR CAYCE’S INFALLIBLE, TIME-TESTED HOME HEALTH REMEDIES” with Gary Schoonveld, LMp, a licensed massage therapist, who spent three years at the international Edgar Cayce organization in Virginia Beach, VA, where he received his massage training at the Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy. He also worked in the Edgar Cayce Foundation offices with Charles Thomas Cayce, the grandson of Edgar Cayce. He has been a student of the Edgar Cayce readings for over 20 years and has a vast knowledge of a tremendous variety of reading topics. His most important personal Cayce remedy experience was healing his own severe case of psoriasis. During his talk, he will provide Protocol instruction & guidance for the use of many remedies recommended by Edgar Cayce. Thursday, November 1st, 2012 “LATEST ISLAND SASQUATCH RESEARCH” with Tim Findley.

Tim Findlay’s fascinating experiences in Vancouver Island’s hinterlands, has given him some great photographic evidence left by some very ‘Big Feet’ in our mountains!

Recently discovering Sasquatch evidence in various places on Vancouver Island, Tim has arranged meetings with other researchers on the subject. He will present photographic evidence of some of his local sightings, as well as some of his best guesses for future sightings. His ability to use remote viewing has enabled him to discover some valuable Big Foot information that he will share, as well as his understanding about their very basic desire for privacy and respect.
